Bold Proclamations

I have been the biggest slacker about not keeping up with the promise I made to myself, and by extension, to you, my readers (all 47 of you, according to Google Analytics—hmm, am I included in that count?). Thus begins what I hope will be a stream of output never before seen on this site.

Yes, I attempted to use the device known as a dramatic pause to allow that to sink in, only to realize that the bar is set impossibly low. Therefore, let it be known, fair reader, that I will attempt to do something I have never done before and offer up at least one quality post per day for the next seven eight nine days. Yell it from the rooftops of the interwebz, people! Spread the news! There will be a riot of content pouring forth on this here electronic page.

I hope you realize exactly how much I will be offering to the gods of writing as I not only renew my promise, but redouble it in an effort to calm the torrential rains and thrashing winds which conspire to rip apart the sails of my very being. Prepare yourselves then, for it begins in earnest tomorrow.

Over the next several days I will deliver unto you:

  1. St. Louis Road Trip, Parts Two and Three (see, that’s really two separate posts for the price of one!).

  2. My musings on Inglorious Basterds.

  3. What is new in music for me, and hopefully you.

  4. Top 10 Best & Worst Summer Blockbusters of all time (now that summer is drawing to an end).

  5. My favorite Mac apps and utilities.

  6. Throw a dart at my tag cloud in My Delicious and see what happens.

  7. A look back at a defining album for my generation; I’m not going to tell you which album it is just yet, but I will start dropping some hints tomorrow.

  8. Is it worth buying Braveheart on Blu-ray?

  9. What beer has made its way into my refrigerator and how did it get there?

On a side note, there is a gaggle of geese trumpeting on my lawn right now. Better go check.

A bold proclamation would be that you would post every day for a month. I'm just sayin'. You can always check out the NABLOPOMO theme for inspiration.

@jjm Pretty bold for me. Starting small, we'll see where it goes. On the 10th day, who knows?

@Xcused You should listen to Korn's "It's On!"

@Melissa I have more days that are big honking stinking pieces of crap than not, so nothing's new there. :)
